A painting like this deserves a proper debut and post of its very own; wouldn't you agree?

Three weeks ago, this whimsical "little" number came into our lives. I am sure some of you are thinking, Where can I get one of those?! While others {and probably more} of you are thinking, What on God's green earth possessed you to allow that thing to enter your home?! 

I will admit there was no possible way to mentally prepare to receive something of this magnitude and intensity. I had no idea how intimidatingly enormous the thing actually was, even while the vintage treasure was en-route. Just as anyone in their right mind would be, I was the slightest taken back when my friend popped open the hatch on her gargantuan SUV and officially "introduced" us. It was like a blind date gone all wrong, yet out-of-this-world right at the same time. Those green eyes instantly penetrated my winter parka right down to the very depths of my soul. There is something very appealing about this piece. Its uniqueness leaves something to be said. And personally, I like a little mystery {as long as it doesn't come alive and consume me in the night}.

My husband, on the other hand, isn't the painting's biggest fan. Almost every day, I hear a muffled, "Oh, that's still here, eh?" come from the guest bedroom. He would not be sad to see it go. Being the gent that he is, though, he is letting it "hang around" {ba-dum chh!} for my sake.
